Beta vulgaris

Evidence of this heirloom beet date back to the early 1800’s. These delicious 2″ globes of sunshine yellow are sweeter and milder than most beets and won’t stain everything. Fresh in salads or even cooked, they will stay sweet and silky. The tops/greens are fantastic fresh or cooked too! Root will not get earthy and woody when overgrown.
Growing Directions
Soak seeds for 24 hours. Sow seeds 1/2″ deep 1″ apart, in full sun when ground is warm and heavy frosts have past. Thin to 3-4″ apart. Sow second set of seeds one month later for continual harvest.
